THE TOBACCO FACTORY
Raleigh Road
Southville
Bristol
BS3 1TF
On Saturdays and Sundays. Enter the building from Raleigh Road (opposite the Nat West cashpoint), go past the booking office and up the stairs. At the top of the stairs turn left. The dance studio is directly in front of you. Just around the corner you will find Phyl, who will be able to answer any questions you may have or order any dancewear you may require.
Danceblast has been part of the Tobacco Factory complex from the outset, creating the mirrored studio on the first floor. In this exciting environment, Danceblast has been able to give hundreds of students the chance to experience the thrills of performance, whilst learning various techniques and skills involved with a variety dance styles.
The Tobacco Factory is the last remaining part of the Old Wills Tobacco site on Raleigh Road, Southville. It was saved from demolition by architect George Ferguson and through his vision has become a model of urban regeneration. It now offers one of the most exciting performance venues in the country. In 2002 George Ferguson kindly agreed to become Patron of Danceblast.
